Lead intake overview

Lead intake receives structured website submissions and forwarded emails, projects the event into a safe review state, and records every processing attempt. Open Intake to monitor received, processing, review-required, processed, and failed events.

What happens to an enquiry

1. Qonvera authenticates the source and checks the event ID for replay.
2. It stores the event and extracts available contact, company, message, service, and attribution fields.
3. Reliable events can be processed under the configured source policy. Ambiguous or incomplete events become Review required.
4. An Owner or Admin verifies the details, corrects fields, selects a service, and deliberately creates the CRM records.
5. Qonvera records the decision and links the resulting contact, account, opportunity, and follow-up.

Replaying an event with the same external event ID is idempotent: Qonvera returns the existing result instead of creating a duplicate.

If the same website action also sends a notification email, include the same correlation or external event ID in both. Qonvera can then treat the email as supporting evidence rather than a second lead.
