Connect messaging channels

Owners and Admins manage messaging connections in Settings → Channels.

Each channel has its own settings card, with WhatsApp first, followed by Instagram, Messenger, and Telegram. Website and email intake settings have separate cards below the messaging channels. Connection controls, status, and any errors appear inside the relevant card.

  • Use a business account you are authorized to manage.
  • Check that your business account meets the channel’s connection requirements.
  • Keep the provider account active and do not revoke Qonvera’s access.
  • Make sure you are in the workspace where you want the messages to appear.
  1. Open Settings → Channels.
  2. Select WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, or Telegram.
  3. Choose Connect and complete the provider authorization.
  4. Select the correct business account, Instagram professional account, or Facebook Page.
  5. Return to Qonvera and verify the connection shows Connected.
  6. Send one customer-initiated test message and confirm it appears in the Inbox.

Qonvera checks Instagram authorization and attempts to renew eligible connections before they expire. Revoked access, missing permissions, or an already expired authorization can still require you to connect again.

The Instagram card shows the latest connection check:

  • Connected: authorization passed its latest check. This does not guarantee every message will be delivered.
  • Verification pending: the connection has not yet been verified.
  • Connection check delayed: a temporary problem prevented verification; Qonvera will check again.
  • Reconnect required: an Owner or Admin needs to authorize the same Instagram account again.
  • Health unavailable: Qonvera could not retrieve connection health. Contact support if this continues.

Owners and Admins receive a notification when reconnection is needed or verification problems persist. Select the notification to open Channels. Reading an alert does not fix the connection; the alert clears after a successful check.

Telegram uses a bot token instead of a browser authorization window:

  1. In Telegram, open the verified @BotFather account.
  2. Create a bot with /newbot, or choose an existing bot you control.
  3. Copy the bot token shown by BotFather.
  4. In Qonvera, open Settings → Channels → Telegram.
  5. Paste the token, optionally enter a friendly display name, and select Connect bot.
  6. Open the bot in Telegram from a separate customer account, select Start, and send a test message.
  7. Confirm the private chat appears under the Telegram Inbox filter and send a reply from Qonvera.

Treat the bot token like a password. Never paste it into support tickets or screenshots. If it is exposed, revoke it in BotFather and reconnect with the replacement token.

Telegram customers must start the bot conversation first. Qonvera supports private bot chats; group and channel posts are ignored. Telegram does not use WhatsApp templates or Meta’s 24-hour reply window, and this connection does not provide read receipts or calling.

If a conversation still says Channel needs attention, refresh after the channel has reconnected. If the warning remains, compare the conversation’s channel to the connected provider account; an older disconnected channel record may not be the newly connected one.

Disconnecting stops Qonvera from sending and receiving through that connection. The disconnected account should no longer appear as an active channel. Existing CRM records and historical messages remain for audit and customer context unless separately deleted under your retention rules.

See Channel troubleshooting if inbound messages do not appear.
